Pat Danielson March came to an end with RUSS ROBERTS the greeter extraordinaire and he also prayed for us with the invocation. Our guests were JoAnn Benson wife of JOHN, Doug Donagon from Granite NW, a prospective member and guest of President CHRIS, Fredda McDougal guest of JO MCLAIN and Apple Valley member _______ Bunton.
The Jr. Achievement Bowling Team so far is KARL CORPRON, SALLY RODGERS, PENNY BAKER, CAMI LEONARD CORBIN AND CAROL HELMS. Be generous when they ask for donations. They are representing our club!
DELMAR PEARSON announced that the Kiwanis Trust has had a $7000 improvement which is great news.
SGT PENNY BAKER they managed to get almost everyone with either brag bucks or a quiz on the Expo that was held last week.
Our program as Bob Descrosellier, senior engineer for the City of Yakima (ph number is 575-6228 or his email is bdesgros@ci.yakima.wa.us and Doug Mayo, also a city engineer for Yakima. Together they shared the news that the underpass work on Lincoln Avenue is starting now and traffic changes will happen in June. They gave us maps and facts regarding the underpass work which will be the West bound first and then later the MLK east Bound route will be completed (although funding is still in the process for this portion.) The completion date for the Lincoln Ave project is June 2011.
