TERRY ARCHER then introduced her "boss" Tom Gaulke from Entrust as our speaker of the day. Entrust is formerly Provident Horizon, a long term agency in the community. People with disabilities are now thought of and expected to live among the community and agencies like Entrust are there to make that happen. The disabled work force are no longer hidden but are at jobs and work for our communities. Entrust helps them to be trained, qualifed and ready. Some of the help that is provided is assitance in gaining food handlers permits, drivers licenses, employed in a large janatorial program, learning computer skills and help being hired. Help is given for recruitment and retention. Their trainees want to work! Terry is director of employment services and there is no cost to employers. They support their people for the entire work time until Entrust is no longer needed.
Next weeks program is Salvation Army and we are at Howard Johnsons. The food also was great from El Porton and we had lots~!!! Thanks Wendy.
