Installation Banquet
Pat Danielson

Our regular noon meeting was replaced with a great installation banquet honoring our incoming President Christine Cote. The evening began with a 6 to 7 p.m. social with our entertainment provided by Pat Gilmore, Bert Tabayoyan and Bing Holm, AKA "Just Us". (and they were great!) John Benson was our greeter and our evening was hosted by our almost Past President Ron Zirkle. Legion of Honor Awards were presented by Ron and Christine to the following: 25 Plus Years to Gary Staples, Rick Larsen, Mark Hampton; 30 Years to Pat Gilmore and Mark Farsdahl; 50 years to Don Davidson and Lynn Buchanan; and 60 Years to Clarence Barnette and Gene Shields. Other members have received awards for service between 25 years and 58 years: Delmar Pearson, Roger Bell, John Benson, Bob Brown, Chris Christman, Steve Emhoff, Julius Glover, Spencer Hatton, Cliff Knobel, Mac Porter, Stan Pratt and Mike Wilson. Over 300 years of community service. (My apologies if I missed anyone!).

President Ron then gave a wonderful state of the year review to remind all of us of our many successes from the year which included Roger Bell as the Bingo Chair,575 hours of service; John Warren as Salavation Army chair with 60 hours of service; Steve Emhoff for Winter Ball, 160 hours of service; Roger Bell and Edward the Elf (Spencer Hatton) with 40 hours of service; joining the other clubs for the Chamber of Commerce Expo; Spencer Hatton and Songfest for 125 hours; in May the Trust gave Perry Tech scholarships; Pat Andreotti and 254 hours and $4,000 for Camp Roganunda; Beth Klingele in May also led us in 234 hours for ROck the Gap which earned $10,000 plus for YWCA and the Greenway Fund a Foot; and then there were the various donations and the regular club work each and every week that makes our club so great!

Roger Bell, our soon to be immediate Past Lt. Governor, then retired the past officers and directors and new to be Lt Governor Ken Johnson installed the new officers and directors. New officers include:
President Chris Cote, President Elect Pat Andreotti; Vice President Lori Crow, Secretary, Jay Carroll; Treasurer John Benson and Past President (if he is lucky) is Ron Zirkle.
