Our program speaker was DALE CARPENTER who was at our club representing Camp Prime Time a camp on White Pass that is for the use of disabled and seriously ill children and their families. Camp Prime Time is in the process of fundraising for expanding and upgrading it’s lodge so that more families can experience the outdoors. The Camp Prime time opened in 1986 and has been operating with volunteer and corporate support ever since. They have one paid staff member. Dale spoke from experience for the need to families with disabled children to have a place to get away from it all. He has two children with autism and they have used the camp. The Camp hopes to raise $1million dollars for the lodge renovation of which $400k has already been raised.
