Pat Danielson PRESIDENT RON ZIRKLE welcomed a full summer house. Does that mean vacations are over? TRESSA SHOCKLEY greeted us and RUSS ROBERTS prayed for us. Russ also passed around the Invocation signup and did well after threats of his continuing to pray for us. Would that mean we would fall victim to as many children as Russ and his wife have now -- SIX! Congratulations Russ. What a wonderful example you and your wife are to all of us.
New official members are EARL HALL a tranferee from Kamiakin and new member, TERRY ARCHER. Guests were former member Seth Shea, Leann Leahy who has turned in her membership and JoAnn Benson better half to JOHN.
President Ron then share some news from Distict Convention in Oregon.
JO MCLAIN announced the Aktion Club's Board Meeting at Ken Johnsons on Wednesday.
SGT. AMY NEAL then did a good job in showing us that we do ready the Herald Republic and also made money with all of the brag bucks.
Tressa then introduced our program, Friday Night Live which is a group of churches and community businesses led by New Hope Church that feed the homeless each Friday evening with a hot meal. They have served 14,000 meals in the last 10 months. It is not a place to hear a sermon before you eat, just a good hot meal from 4 to 6 p.m. every Friday evening on Naches Avenue. Come and help serve or eat get to know the person across the table. Let them know that somebody does care. Donations are welcome. Their congregation of 100 support the costof $1500 a month plus other donations have been given. For example, America West Bank donated $1600.
