Family Christmas Dinner
Pat Danielson And a Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! What a wonderful evening for members, guests and especially the children. President RON welcomed everyone. CHRISTINE COTE prayed and JULIUS GLOVER led us in singing and the Englewood Christian Church was filled. We were welcomed by KIRSTEN DANIELSON and then she was relieved by new member STACEY DRAKE. The wonderful food was provided by M & M Catering who gives so generously to us for Rock the Gap. Desserts were our own sampling of wonderful treats.
Special guest was Dave Ettl who did magic for the children and that was magic just watching their faces.
But the most special guest was Santa (thank you ROGER BELL) who again thrilled the children with his stories and special wishes and gifts. And thank you KIRSTEN for selecting those gifts. And thank you STEVE EMHOFF for getting the committee going with the place, Dave and everything. Also thanks to MARGARET FILKIN and AMY NEAL for their work on the committee.
As my grandson, Kellen, said, Next year I will be too old for a present but I sure had a good time!
Next week's meeting is back at Howard Johnson's at noon.
