Board Meeting Minutes
January 6, 2005

Market Place Deli


The meeting was called to order at 12:18 PM by President, Mel Light.

Also in attendance were: Rod Allan, Sally Baldwin, Pat Danielson, Russ Dix, Cherie Ergeson, Joe Kennish, Amy Neal, Steve Pickett, Kirsten Stoffer, Ron Zirkle and Louise Tabayoyon.

Guest in attendance was Stan Pratt.

Minutes Approved – Pat moved and Sally seconded to approve the Dec. 2nd meeting minutes. Motion carried.

Member Resignations – Mel reluctantly read resignation letters from Del Newcomb a member since 1986 who states family illness issues, and from Lynn Smith who resigns because of his current employment in Alaska. Pat moved and Joe seconded to accept both resignations effective 01/01/05. Motion carried.

MLK Geranium Sale – Kirsten reported that Bauer’s Nursery will be the supplier for our geraniums and hanging baskets. The committee has recommended ordering similar quantities as last year where there were 2000 pre-sales and 1000 day-sales. Signs have been donated by Haney and she is working on getting the site for receiving and selling. She reminded everyone of the sale date the weekend before Mother’ Day. Kirsten submitted a revised budget plan which projects $12,000 income, $7,800 expenses, and $4,200 net profit. Joe moved and Ron seconded to accept the revised budget as submitted. Motion carried

Circle K Convention – Pat reminded the board that the Circle K Convention will being held in Yakima in February will be needing member volunteers to help coordinate convention activities. She will post information on the website.

Social Committee – Mel announced that the Social Committee will soon be announcing some fun, social gatherings. More information to come.

Adjournment – With no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 12:40 pm.
