KIWANIS FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY
Don’t miss the Kiwanis Family Christmas Party next Tuesday, December 17 and Englewood Christian Church. This party is fun for everyone and a nice opportunity to meet our members’ spouses and kids. Remember the party replaces our regular noon meeting. 6pm is social time and dinner is at 6:30 catered as always by our member Keith Nelson of the Market Place. Contact CARLA SAVAGE ASAP if you would like to attend and be sure to let her know the names and ages of any children you are bringing.
SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGING A BIG SUCCESS
A big thank you from DON DAVIDSON and JOE KENNISH goes out to all 36 Kiwanians who braved the elements (and a few inside wimps) to ring bells and raise cash for the Salvation Army. Joe reported that we had a 57% increase in donations over last year. We raised $1114.20 for the Army.
OUR ADOPTED SCHOOL –MARTIN LUTHER KING
WENDY AGUILAR reported on SANTA (ROGER BELL) visiting our adopted school, Martin Luther King Elementary. Santa’s helpers were KIRTEN STOFFER, SPENSER HATTON, and Wendy. SANTA brought a smile to 38 kids who got a picture with the big guy to take home. Wendy reported that this community service event really got her into the spirit of Christmas.
SANTA SPOTTED AT WEST COAST GATEWAY
We were all surprised by a visit from none other that Santa Claus himself who sang and told stories to the Trail Seeker kids and passed out really cool radios with earphones. I know the little guys at my table we’re thrilled! Great job house committee DAWN ALIVERTI and RICH LEWIS and SANTA ROGER BELL.
