PAT DANIELSON

Although the start was a little shakey with the Flag no where in sight except on the Vintiques Brochure (with the help of STEVE SOELBERG)members opened the meeting in fine style. The Flag then appeared with the help of Gateway personnel. House Committee Chair, CORKY MATTINGLY, owed one more fine. J BLAKE gave our invocation and one guest, Pam Caldwell, special friend of STEVE EMHOFF joined us and will officially join us at the Board Meeting on Thursday.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

JACK GILBERT reminded us of Vintiques Bingo at the Fair grounds on Friday and Saturday. Some more help is needed on Saturday afternoon if you can help out. Give Jack a call for details. This is our mini Bingo and we don\\\\\\\'t have to spend a thing -- just make money for our service projects. You also get in free to see all the cars on display.

Also a reminder that Pioneer Picnic is August 21 and our help is needed in serving lunch to the Seniors. Sign up will be going around again.

NEXT MEETING IS AT WESTCOAST CENTER (across the way). It is not too far away for those that forget!

CORKY called Bingo with our guest, Pam, winning.

Must be marriage time. AMY NEAL bragged about her 4 year anniversary and both ROGER BELL AND STEVE EMHOFF had sons\\\' wedding announcements in Sunday\\\'s paper. Congrats to everyone.

Next week\\\'s program is Curtis King about the new goings on at the Fair Grounds.

BRIAN BLOUNT asked the scribe to announce that the following people attended interclubs this past month:

Sunnyside: Steve Emhoff, RUSS DIX, WENDY AGUILAR, Amy Neal and DIRK MARLER.

Cle Elum: Brian Blount, RON ANDERSON, CAMI LEONARD and Roger Bell.

Good job on getting those out of town interclubs.

PROGRAM: BETH KLINGELE introduced her neighbor and executive consultant, Sean Harrington from Developing Human Capital who shared with us secrets to true success. Success which is generally measured in wealth, power and status can be fleeting. They are all externally generated and limited. Sean said that we need to look inside ourselves for success in the pursuit of excellence, fulfillment and happiness which are all internally generated and not dependent on others.

He shared that conditions of success depend on a clear conception of what you want, stong confidence, concentration, diligence and consistency. Don\\\'t forget celebration of the successes and renewal of the goals for success.
